Meaningful documentation is central to our educational approach, communicating the life of our preschool to others. Educators capture the children’s incredible learning journeys, experiences, complex thinking and discoveries using a variety of means including images, children’s narratives, work samples, anecdotal observations, video and audio clips.

 

These are clearly displayed within the preschool and in floor-books, inviting the contribution of families in building a deeper understanding of the children’s learning journey.

 

Educators and children use documentation to reflect on the learning process, to provoke thinking, to relaunch ideas, to explore possible ways forward and to plan the next stage of inquiry and meaningful learning experiences.
