Fees for 2027
Katoomba Leura Preschool receives funding from the NSW Department of Education under the Universal Community Preschool Funding program.
We want every child in our community to have the opportunity to enjoy a rich and meaningful preschool experience. Our fees reflect the new funding model, with a continued commitment to making quality early learning as accessible as possible for local families.
If you have any questions about our fees, please feel welcome to contact the Preschool. We’re always happy to help.
Enrolment Patterns
At Katoomba Leura Preschool, we offer set enrolment patterns, with children attending on the same days each week. This means children are regularly spending time with the same group of friends and educators, allowing relationships, play and learning to grow over time.
For young children, these familiar connections are important. Rather than moving between different groups across the week, children have the opportunity to become part of a consistent group, where they can develop friendships, build trusting relationships with educators and feel a strong sense of belonging.
Friendships that grow over time -being with the same children each week gives friendships time to develop naturally. Children get to know one another, find shared interests and return to play that began the day before. Their friendships become part of the rhythm and story of their preschool experience.
Familiar educators who know them well - Our educators work across different days, including part-time and job-share arrangements. Having children attend on consistent days means they regularly see the educators who are part of their group. Over time, these relationships become familiar and trusting, helping children feel known, understood and supported.
Continuity in play and learning - Children's ideas and interests don't always fit neatly into one day. A consistent group allows children to return to their play, conversations and investigations and continue where they left off. An idea that begins one day can be explored, questioned and extended when they return.
A strong sense of belonging - being part of a familiar group helps children develop a sense of their place within the preschool community. They know the children they play with, the educators who care for them and the rhythms of their group.
For us, enrolment patterns are about giving children time and continuity — time to build friendships, develop trusting relationships and become part of a group where they feel that they belong.
