We believe that educators and children are collaborators in their learning journey and view the role of the teacher as a co-researcher and co-learner alongside our children. This involves careful and sensitive listening to the children’s voices, observation, documentation and reflection on the theories and interests of the children. Teachers provoke, co-construct, and stimulate thinking and children's collaboration with peers. Teachers respect, embrace and nurture the many points of view, ideas, theories and suggestions of individual children as well as the group.  They work collaboratively to examine the many possible pathways of an inquiry, valuing experimentation and exploration, serving as resources and guides to support children’s research, learning and development.

We believe that each educator brings fundamental personal qualities to the learning environment such as empathy, respect, warmth and a passion for learning.  We believe in the importance of creating an environment of collegiality where personal and professional contributions are valued and communication is open, honest and supportive.
